The alleged incident occurred around 3pm on Saturday on Youngs Crossing Road in Joyner. According to police reports, the suspect, driving a white Kia Picanto believed to be fitted with stolen number plates, deliberately collided with the rear of a police car.

Following the collision, the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene on foot, initiating a pursuit that led officers through school grounds and private properties. Despite an extensive search, the suspect managed to evade capture.
Authorities have described the individual as a man wearing white shorts and no shirt. The Queensland Police Service confirmed on Sunday that the search operation is ongoing, with the dog squad and PolAir crews actively involved in the extensive efforts to locate him.
