, KENDALA fatal traffic accident occurred on the highway in Sumberejo Village, Kaliwungu District, Kendal Regency, on Friday night (12/12/2025).
A Yamaha RX King motorcycle rider has reportedly died after colliding with a dump truck that was driving in front of him.
The unfortunate incident occurred around 10:30 PM Western Indonesian Time. The RX King motorcycle with license plate number D 6511 ZDE was ridden by Farihin, a resident of Karangtengah Village, Kaliwungu District.
At the time of the incident, the victim was riding with Eko Sutrisno, who also hails from the same village.
Kanit Gakkum Satlantas Polres Kendal, Ipda M. Heru Ardiantoro, stated that the motorcycle rider died at the scene, while the passenger survived the accident.
“The one who died was Farihin, the one who was riding pillion was safe,” said Kanit Gakkum Satlantas Polres Kendal, Ipda M Heru Ardiantoro, confirming on Saturday (13/12/2025).
Based on initial statements, the motorcycle was traveling from the west at a considerable speed.
Upon arriving at the scene, the rider allegedly realized too late the presence of a dump truck with license plate number H 1768 AN, which was moving slowly in the same lane.
Due to the extremely close distance, the motorcycle could not avoid it and directly collided with the rear of the dump truck.
The truck was known to be driven by Riski Panti Yuwono, a resident of Sidanegara Village, Kaligondang District, Purbalingga Regency.
Police officers also suspect that the motorcyclist and the passenger were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
“Because the distance was already short, the victim could not control the speed of their vehicle, which then collided with the rear body of the dump truck,” he/she revealed.
Heru explained that Farihin and his passenger Eko Sutrisno were rushed to the hospital, but their lives could not be saved.
Farihin suffered injuries to his chin and nose due to a hard impact, while Eko Sutrisno sustained an injury to his temple.
“Both were immediately rushed to Soewondo Kendal Regional General Hospital, but due to the severe injuries, Farihin’s life could not be saved,” he stated. (ags)
