Chuck Norris, the legendary actor and martial artist, was known for his dedication to health and fitness throughout his life. However, new revelations have emerged that suggest the late star secretly endured two heart attacks nearly nine years before his passing on Thursday, March 19, at the age of 86. A recent report has shed light on a critical medical event that occurred in July 2017, revealing the severity of his health struggles during that time.
What Led to Chuck Norris’ 2017 Heart Attacks?

According to an insider, the incident was so severe that it could have been fatal for most men half his age. The heart attack occurred after Norris attended the United Fighting Arts Federation’s World Championships in Las Vegas. Following the event, he and his family embarked on a long drive back to their home in Chester, California. Along the way, they made a stop at the Tonopah Station Hotel and Casino in Nevada.
A hotel employee shared with The National Enquirer that Norris was seen on the casino floor for a short time before heading to his room. Around 5:30 a.m., he collapsed with chest pains while taking a shower. The situation quickly escalated, leading to a frantic response from those around him.

The journey to Mt. Grant General Hospital in Hawthorne, Nevada, was a 100-mile trip. During the ride, Norris stopped breathing, requiring immediate intervention with a defibrillator to restart his heart. Upon arrival at the hospital, he suffered a second heart attack, which again caused him to stop breathing. He was then airlifted to Reno’s Renown Regional Medical Center for further treatment.
‘It Felt Like He Died Twice in 47 Minutes’

One source described the ordeal as “touch and go.” They recalled, “I was told his wife was allowed to ride in the med flight with him. Everything happened so fast that it felt like he died twice in 47 minutes!” The chaos of the moment made it difficult to track the exact timeline, with people more focused on the heart monitor than the clock.
“People were watching the heart monitor — not the clock!” the source added. The intensity of the situation left many in shock, highlighting just how close Norris came to losing his life during this period.
