Today’s civil servants work amidst a torrent of information, high demands for transparency, and constant public scrutiny. In such a situation, work ethics are not just about punctuality and adherence to rules, but also about how to behave and act in the spacedigitalthat is open.

Technological advancements have drastically changed the face of public services. System-basede-government, utilizationbig data, until communication through the official social media of the agency places civil servants at the forefront of direct interaction with the public. Every click, upload, and response has a tangible impact on the country’s image and public trust.

Here is where the work ethic of civil servants in the eradigitalfinding its relevance. Not just keeping up with technological advancements, but understanding the limitations, responsibilities, and moral values that must be maintained. Work ethics become the main foundation so that digital transformation does not lose its direction and remains in favor of the broader public interest.

Work Ethics of Civil Servants Amidst the Digital Transformation Wave

It wasdigitaldemanding civil servants to work more adaptively, quickly, and accurately. However, behind all the technological conveniences, there is an ethical responsibility that must not be overlooked. The use of government information systems, the management of public data, and the dissemination of public information must be carried out with a high degree of caution. Work ethics here function as a safeguard so that technological advancements do not lead to integrity violations.

Polite, informative, and solution-oriented language is key to building healthy dialogue with the public. Civil servants are required to continuously learn, be open to change, yet remain steadfast in the principles of honesty and responsibility.

An adaptive work culture does not mean abandoning rules, but rather reinterpreting old values to be relevant to new challenges. With a strong work ethic, civil servants are able to use technology as a tool to strengthen services, not as a loophole to avoid obligations.

Technology will continue to evolve, but without strong ethics, digital transformation will only be a superficial change.
