It’s time to cast your vote!
The Halifax Health Volusia-Flagler Boys Athlete of the Week poll is now open for the week of December 1st through 6th. Show your support for these outstanding young athletes who have demonstrated exceptional performance in their respective sports.
Last week, Anthony Hampton, a basketball player from Flagler Palm Coast High School, secured the title of Athlete of the Week with an impressive 93% of the votes. Hampton’s standout performance included 20 points and two steals, contributing significantly to the Bulldogs’ 48-45 victory over Colonial.

Here are this week’s nominees:
Basketball
Tyler McKnight, New Smyrna Beach High School:
The senior guard had two consecutive games with 27 points each, leading the Barracudas to wins against Anclote and Winter Springs. Against Winter Springs, he also contributed 11 rebounds.Adonis Thompson, Calvary Christian Academy:
The sophomore guard scored a game-high 26 points in a win over Brevard HEAT.
Soccer
Emmanuel Benitez, Taylor High School:
The junior forward scored twice in a 3-2 victory against Gainesville High School.Daneel Martinez Pulido, University High School:
The senior forward recorded a hat trick, scoring three goals in a 5-0 victory over Mainland High School.
Wrestling
Jayce Gainer, Seabreeze High School:
Gainer went undefeated with a 3-0 record to take first place in the 165-pound AM pool at the Barbara Pill Pool Round Robin tournament.Aidan Hamilton, University High School:
Hamilton achieved a perfect 5-0 record, earning him the top position in the 113-pound weight class at the Varsity Clash of the Titans tournament.
