Reports indicate that his father, 39-year-old Jeremy Dashwood, bravely attempted to save his son, reportedly smashing a window to re-enter the burning structure. An 11-year-old brother managed to escape the inferno by climbing through a window. Two older siblings were not present at the residence at the time of the fire. The family’s beloved dogs also perished in the devastating event.

He also directed his garden hose towards the flames, but it was insufficient to make a difference.
Mr. Zanniat recounted hearing the distressed cries of the lady saying, “My baby’s inside.” He expressed his deep regret at being unable to help further, stating, “I feel really upset, I really wanted to help, but I couldn’t do anything.” He witnessed a man emerge from the burning house with his clothes ablaze, later identified as Jordan’s father. Paramedics confirmed the father is receiving treatment at the Alfred Hospital for serious upper and lower body injuries and is in a stable condition.
