The 700-kilogram buffalo is owned by farmer Zia Uddin Mridha and became famous on social media due to its long blonde hair, which many visitors liken to the hairstyle of former US President Donald Trump. Families, influencers, and inquisitive locals have visited the farm all through May to take pictures of this unique animal.
Caretakers clean the buffalo four times daily and gently brush its light-colored fur under its curved horns just before guests come. The owner mentions the animal has recently lost weight due to the ongoing crowds and focus, leading the farm to limit visitor entry.
Even with these steps, tourists keep coming from nearby areas, including some who arrive by boat to view the buffalo before the Eid festivities start later this month.
Representatives from the Bangladesh Department of Livestock Services state that albino buffaloes are exceptionally uncommon due to reduced melanin generation.
In Bangladesh, home to over 170 million people, more than 12 million animals are anticipated to be slaughtered during Eid al-Adha, a significant festival in the Islamic tradition. Mridha mentioned he would feel the absence of the buffalo, yet emphasized that sacrifice is central to this religious event.
