Cody Simpson Parties in Melbourne, Seen with Lara Worthington Amidst Post-Breakup Revelry
Since his separation from Olympic swimmer Emma McKeon late last year, it appears pop star and former competitive swimmer Cody Simpson has been embracing his newfound freedom. The 29-year-old was recently spotted enjoying the high-octane atmosphere of the F1 Grand Prix in Melbourne, not just as a spectator but in the company of model Lara Worthington.
The pair’s energetic evening out has since become the subject of viral footage, capturing a rather boisterous moment on the street during a night of celebrations. The clip, which surfaced on Lara Worthington’s TikTok account, begins with a candid shot of Cody’s talent manager, Milena Gattegno, who has previously been linked to TV host Darren McMullen. Gattegno is seen audaciously flipping the bird to the camera, set against the iconic backdrop of Joan Jett’s “I Love Rock ’n’ Roll.” The accompanying caption from Worthington was blunt: “F you bh.”

Following this, Simpson, sporting sunglasses and a leather jacket, appears to mouth an apology, “No, we’re so sorry.” However, the sentiment is short-lived.

Lara Worthington then takes centre stage, physically nudging Cody along the street while simultaneously raising the middle finger on both hands as she is filmed. Her accompanying caption leaves little room for interpretation, defiantly stating, “No, we’re not, f you bh,” and adding, “Can’t keep these two quiet.”
Simpson, who ended his four-year relationship with Emma McKeon in late 2025, seemed to be thoroughly enjoying himself at the Australian Grand Prix held at Albert Park. This wasn’t his only public appearance during the F1 festivities. On Friday night, he was also seen attending a Formula One party in Melbourne, accompanied by a stunning female companion.
A Night Out with a Mystery Companion
Arriving with a glamorous female friend, Simpson made a conscious effort to steer clear of the waiting paparazzi. Despite this, Daily Mail reporters observed Cody placing a friendly arm around his companion’s waist as he guided her into Marmont at Crown, a popular entertainment venue. This occurred after he had posed for photographs alone.
Notably, Cody declined to have his arrival with the blonde beauty captured on film, even as footage was being taken of other high-profile attendees at the exclusive event. Daily Mail has since reached out to Cody Simpson for comment on the matter.

This public outing with a female friend comes just weeks after the official confirmation of his separation from competitive swimmer Emma McKeon. Cody’s sister, Alli Simpson, had confirmed the rumours on the television program The Morning Show the previous month, stating that her brother and the Olympic athlete had amicably “moved on” from their relationship.
Embracing the Future and New Music
Alli Simpson expressed her happiness for both parties, remarking, “She is like sunshine in human form, so I’m just so happy they can move forward.” While she refrained from disclosing the specific reasons behind the split, Alli did emphasise that Cody and Emma, who began dating in April 2022, were seeking privacy as they navigated their individual futures. “I don’t want to speak for either of them; this is their private time and their business, and I love them both dearly,” she added.
It certainly seems that Cody is actively moving forward from the relationship. Recent reports indicate he has been immersed in creating new music and attending a string of high-profile events. The Tequila Don Julio 1942 Pole Position party held at Marmont on Friday night provided a vibrant and entertaining setting, undoubtedly offering plenty of distraction and enjoyment for the singer and the other notable guests in attendance.
The lavish soiree, where no expense was spared, saw a multitude of Melbourne’s most recognisable social figures arrive at Crown Towers’ golden carpet, many making a statement in their supercars. The event featured a performance by Grammy-nominated rapper Swae Lee, who took to the stage shortly after sunset. Among the revellers dancing enthusiastically in the crowd were well-known personalities such as Bec Judd, Lana Wilkinson, and Nadia Bartel, all contributing to the electric atmosphere of the night.
