ElectroPutere Mall Emerges as Romania’s Third-Largest Shopping Destination Outside Bucharest After Major Expansion
Craiova, Romania – ElectroPutere Mall has significantly bolstered its standing in the Romanian retail landscape, officially becoming the third-largest shopping centre outside the capital city of Bucharest. This milestone is the result of a substantial EUR 22 million investment that has expanded its total retail area to approximately 62,000 square meters. The recent development phase alone contributed an additional 10,500 square meters of prime retail space, marking a significant enhancement to the existing facility.
This ambitious expansion project not only increases the mall’s physical footprint but also introduces two prominent international brands, Primark and Half Price, to Craiova and the wider Dolj county for the very first time. These new anchor tenants are poised to open their inaugural regional stores within ElectroPutere Mall, promising to draw a new wave of shoppers and elevate the retail experience.
Beyond the enhanced shopping environment, the investment has also prioritized convenience and accessibility. The project includes a considerable expansion of parking capacity, ensuring that ElectroPutere Parc will now offer over 3,150 parking spaces for its visitors. This move addresses a key aspect of the modern shopping experience, making it easier for patrons to access the extensive offerings within the complex.
A New Tier of Retail Power
With its recent extension, ElectroPutere Parc now boasts a total retail space exceeding 110,000 square meters. This impressive scale firmly positions it among the top three power retail destinations across Romania. The retail park is a vibrant hub, already home to a diverse array of major tenants that cater to a wide spectrum of consumer needs. These established retailers include:
- Auchan
- Leroy Merlin
- Decathlon
- Media Galaxy
- H&M
- C&A
- Bebe Tei
- Farmacia Tei
Complementing the retail offerings, the Inspire Cinema provides an entertainment component, making ElectroPutere Parc a comprehensive destination for shopping, leisure, and services.
