Megyn Kelly Slams Jill Biden Over Claims of Joe’s Health During 2024 Presidential Bid
Megyn Kelly, the prominent journalist and host of The Megyn Kelly Show, has sharply criticised Dr. Jill Biden, the former First Lady, regarding her husband Joe Biden’s health during his 2024 presidential campaign. On an episode of her show on Monday, June 1, Kelly alleged that Dr. Biden had been less than truthful about her husband’s well-being when he made the decision to withdraw from the election against Donald Trump.
Joe Biden, at 83 years old at the time, ultimately stepped back from the presidential race citing health concerns. This paved the way for former Vice President Kamala Harris to assume his place. Kelly, identifying as being on the “right, center right, and independent right,” expressed a willingness to engage with Dr. Biden’s recent public statements, suggesting it could stir debate within the “leftist friend’s camp.”
“She has decided that now would be a great time to revive the debate over whether Joe Biden’s mental health was perfect while he was running for president, and I am here for it,” Kelly stated on her program. She further posited that Dr. Biden’s current public engagement might stem from dissatisfaction with the attention her new book has received, feeling it’s being overshadowed by discussions of Joe Biden rather than focusing on her own experiences.
Kelly drew a comparison, suggesting Dr. Biden’s current approach might echo the assertive and self-promotional style of media personality Gayle King. “Let me start with that one, just because it’s fun, and if this is angry Jill Biden, who’s getting Gayle King vibes of ‘I’m inspirational, Craig Melvin. Whether you know it or not, I’m an inspiration!'” Kelly quipped.
The former educator, Dr. Jill Biden, had recently appeared on the Today show with Craig Melvin to promote her new memoir, View From the West Wing: A Memoir. During the interview, she addressed her husband’s physical health, aiming to reassure the public.

Questions Raised About Joe Biden’s Health
The former President’s health became a significant talking point following a widely discussed debate with Donald Trump in June 2024. This event, perceived by many as challenging for Joe Biden, was followed a month later by his withdrawal from the presidential race. Subsequently, Joe Biden was diagnosed with prostate cancer last year.
During her interview on the Today show, Dr. Biden asserted that medical professionals had indeed provided assurances about her husband’s fitness to run. “The doctors did assured us he was healthy,” she told the NBC anchor. “And I saw him doing the job every single day. Every single day, he got up, he went into the office, he did the job, he passed bipartisan legislation. I saw him work hours into the night. Yes, I did see him slowing down a little bit when he got tired. Did he stutter a little bit at night? Yeah, sure, but he was still doing the job, and he was doing a good job.”

Kelly’s Accusations of ‘Bullying’
Megyn Kelly, however, did not shy away from further criticising Dr. Biden on her own platform. She accused the former First Lady of having “bullied every member of the Democrat party who was even mildly critical of him on the mental health question, both before and after the debate.”
“The nerve of her to bully everyone, and now admits she totally shared their viewpoint,” Kelly declared, implying a contradiction in Dr. Biden’s past actions and current admissions. Kelly went on to suggest that the Democratic party is currently experiencing regret over Joe Biden’s presidency, particularly in light of Donald Trump’s subsequent tenure. “The Democrat party is apologetic right now for the fact that Donald Trump is president, and they hate everything he’s doing because of Joe Biden.”

The public discourse surrounding a presidential candidate’s health is a critical aspect of any election cycle. As Dr. Biden releases her memoir and reflects on her husband’s campaign, the differing perspectives and resurfacing concerns highlight the ongoing scrutiny faced by political figures and their families. The debate over Joe Biden’s health, both during and after his presidency, continues to be a subject of discussion and analysis.
