In a flurry of late-night pronouncements on his social media platform, Truth Social, former President Donald Trump unleashed a barrage of attacks against a number of political adversaries, labelling them as “corrupt and irrelevant.”
Trump has a well-documented penchant for late-night digital missives. These often feature him posting images of himself or launching lengthy tirades against his political opponents. In the past, his online activity has included sharing an AI-generated image depicting him as Jesus Christ healing a patient, issuing threats to obliterate Iranian civilisation, and reposting numerous conspiracy theories alleging the 2020 election was unfairly taken from him, despite his legal teams failing to substantiate these claims in over 60 court cases.
This pattern continued on Monday night, with Trump publishing more than two dozen posts. While some of these were standard endorsements for MAGA-aligned candidates, others appeared to emanate from a more troubled mental space.
Media Accusations and Election Narratives
One particular post saw Trump vehemently criticising the media’s portrayal of his foreign policy, specifically concerning Iran.
“If Iran surrenders … the Failing New York Times, The China Street Journal (WSJ!), Corrupt and now Irrelevant CNN, and all other members of the Fake News Media, will headline that Iran had a Masterful and Brilliant Victory over The United States of America, it wasn’t even close. The Dumacrats and Media have totally lost their way. They have gone absolutely CRAZY!!!” Trump declared in his post.
He also turned his attention to several Republican congressmen who had recently lost their primary elections to candidates with closer ties to Trump’s political movement.

Trump proudly declared his recent successes in unseating political figures. “In the last two weeks I’ve taken out many bad Political ‘Leaders’ and Pundits including Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, Lightweight ‘Congressman’ Thomas Massie of Kentucky, Brad Raffensperger of Georgia, REALLY DUMB Stephen Colbert of CBS, and others,” he wrote. He further boasted, “My score, for two weeks, is 38-0, with three more limping Late Night Talk Show Hosts, including Low Ratings Bill Maher and his Fake ‘Laughing Machine,’ to go. It is my Honor to be working so hard for our Country!”
Legal Battles and Allegations of Persecution
The former President also directed his ire towards New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who successfully prosecuted Trump on 34 felony counts. These charges stemmed from allegations of falsifying business records in an effort to conceal a hush-money payment made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels, intended to ensure her silence regarding an alleged affair prior to the 2016 election.
Trump vehemently contested the charges, stating, “Alvin Bragg created a new crime just for ‘Donald Trump.’ He took misdemeanors that didn’t exist, and turned them into felonies that never existed. They have a “charge” for Donald Trump that nobody has ever been charged with in the History of Manhattan, and they didn’t charge Hillary Clinton’s lawyer who became the Chief Prosecutor, Mark Pomerantz, and the Judge’s Daughter was the Chief Fundraiser for Kamala Harris and Sleepy Joe Biden. In a move that surprised many, Trump also suggested that Canada should become the 51st state of the United States. This proposition was made in a post where he shared an article detailing the Canadian economy’s descent into recession. This unusual declaration added another layer to his extensive late-night online activity.
