Junior Andre Steps into the Spotlight with Acting Debut
The entertainment world is buzzing as Junior Andre, the son of renowned personalities Katie Price and Peter Andre, makes his foray into acting. Junior has landed a role as a schoolboy in an upcoming coming-of-age drama titled Finding My Voice. This marks a significant step for the young talent, broadening his creative horizons beyond his burgeoning music career.
The film, Finding My Voice, delves into a poignant narrative centered around a young girl who finds herself adrift and without support after her family unit disintegrates due to alcoholism, a crisis compounded by the tragic loss of her baby brother. Within this emotional landscape, Junior Andre is set to portray Johnny, a schoolmate of the protagonist. His character is described as a steadfast ally, one of the few individuals who consistently believes in the lead character and offers unwavering support during her most challenging times.

The film boasts a notable cast, with Junior’s father, Peter Andre, also making an appearance. Adding to the star power, Michelle Ryan, a familiar face from the long-running British soap opera EastEnders, is also featured. A glimpse from the film’s trailer showcases Junior’s character, Johnny, engaging with the lead, Mel (played by Anais Garnes). In the scene, Junior’s voice can be heard imparting words of encouragement, stating, “You’re meant for something bigger, I know you know that too.” The narrative promises to follow Mel’s journey as she navigates the complexities of the care system while pursuing her aspirations as a music artist.

Marking its premiere, Finding My Voice is scheduled for its first public screening later this month as part of the prestigious Manchester Film Festival. The film’s official Instagram page recently shared a carousel post introducing Junior’s character, Johnny, to its followers. The 20-year-old has actively engaged with the film’s promotional efforts, and the announcement has garnered enthusiastic support from his family and loved ones.
Peter Andre, Junior’s proud father, shared his excitement with a simple yet emphatic comment: “Yea my son 🔥🔥🔥.” His girlfriend, Jasmine Orr, echoed this sentiment with an enthusiastic, capitalised message: “CANT WAIT FOR THIS🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽.”
This acting venture comes shortly after Junior revealed a surprising secret: he had been working a demanding night job on the London Underground. He described the work as “grafting, lifting heavy metals, cutting, filing, painting.” In an episode of his sister Princess’s reality TV show, The Princess Diaries, Junior candidly discussed the financial realities of pursuing a career in music. He clarified that he supports himself financially, dispelling the common misconception that he relies on his famous parents. “You actually have to pay to do music. People don’t really know that,” he explained. “I live off myself, I don’t live off Mum and Dad – that’s what people think, that we do.”
Junior’s musical journey began in 2021 when he signed a record deal with Columbia Records. His single, “Slide,” released in 2022, achieved remarkable success, quickly climbing the charts and even surpassing the initial popularity of tracks by global superstars like Harry Styles and Lady Gaga. The song’s infectious beat led to a viral sensation on TikTok, propelling Junior into the music mainstream. He has since secured notable performance opportunities, including supporting artist Hrvy at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London.

While both Junior and his sister Princess appear to be following in the creative footsteps of their parents, they are keen to distance themselves from the label of “nepo babies.” Princess voiced this sentiment on their reality show, highlighting the hard work involved: “People don’t know that you worked a nine-to-five.”
Their father, Peter Andre, carved out a significant place in 90s music history with his iconic hit, “Mysterious Girl.” Since then, he has also explored acting, notably appearing in the film Jafaican, a role that saw him controversially adopt dreadlocks and a fake Jamaican accent. More recently, Peter has been seen on screen in The Sunshine Murders on Channel 5, sharing the set with veteran actress Stephanie Beacham.
Meanwhile, their mother, Katie Price, continues to document her life through television, most recently marrying Carl Woods in Dubai after a whirlwind romance.
Finding My Voice is set to screen at Odeon Great Northern in Manchester on Saturday, 28 March, at 2:40 pm. The film’s inclusion in the Manchester Film Festival signals a promising platform for this new drama and for Junior Andre’s developing acting career.
