AQUA Vietnam Charts Ambitious Course for Growth Through 2045
AQUA Vietnam Electrical Appliances Co., Ltd. has unveiled a far-reaching development strategy, extending its investment horizon to 2045. This bold vision includes significant enhancements to its manufacturing capabilities, aimed at bolstering both its domestic market presence and its reach into international export markets.
This strategic announcement coincides with a significant milestone for the company: its 30th anniversary in Vietnam. The forward-looking plans have received a crucial endorsement with the approval from the Dong Nai Industrial Parks and Economic Zones Management Authority. This approval permits AQUA Vietnam to extend the operational lifespan of its factories located within the Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park all the way through to 2045. The extended investment capital earmarked for these operations is substantial, totalling close to VND1.54 trillion, which is approximately $75 million USD.
Boosting Production Capacity for Domestic and Global Demand
A cornerstone of AQUA Vietnam’s strategy is a substantial increase in its overall production capacity. The company aims to elevate the combined output of its three existing factories to an impressive 1.6 million products annually. This ambitious target is specifically allocated to cater to the growing demand for its core products, with plans to manufacture 800,000 washing machines and 800,000 refrigerators each year. This expanded capacity is designed not only to satisfy the burgeoning needs of the Vietnamese market but also to serve a diverse array of international customers across Asia and Europe.
The company’s strategic positioning is further reinforced by its robust market standing and an extensive product portfolio. AQUA Vietnam offers a comprehensive suite of household appliances, encompassing refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, freezers, and televisions. This broad range has successfully established the company as a convenient, all-in-one supplier for Vietnamese households seeking to equip their homes with essential appliances.
Dominant Market Share Built on Localised Innovation
As of December last year, AQUA Vietnam has solidified its leadership in the Vietnamese market, holding the top market share in two of its most critical product categories: washing machines and refrigerators. This impressive performance is not attributed to a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, the company attributes its success to a deep-seated focus on understanding the nuances of the local market.
