This comprehensive study, slated for completion in the fourth quarter of the current calendar year, will build upon a new mineral resource estimate, which is anticipated to be finalised in the second quarter. The DFS will meticulously refine the mining, metallurgical, and engineering designs previously outlined in Saturn’s pre-feasibility study, released in December.

Key Differentiators Driving Project Value
Canaccord Genuity’s research highlights how Saturn Metals has successfully scaled and de-risked the Apollo Hill project since its listing in 2018. The project’s key differentiator, according to the analysts, is its “bulk-tonnage, low-strip, single open pit enabled by heap leach.” This approach positions Saturn favourably within the landscape of Australian gold developers.
The resurgence of heap leaching as a mainstream development strategy, rather than a mere low-cost fallback option, is attributed to several significant shifts:

Investment Potential and Market Outlook
Canaccord Genuity has modelled a mine life of 14 years for Apollo Hill, projecting the processing of 10 million tonnes of ore annually, based on the mineral resource estimate used in the pre-feasibility study. Furthermore, the firm notes that Saturn is actively engaged in an ambitious drilling campaign, targeting both the primary deposit and surrounding areas.
Based on their analysis, Canaccord Genuity has set a price target of $1.00 for Saturn shares, a significant increase from the current trading price of approximately 44 cents. This optimistic outlook suggests a potential for the share price to more than double. Currently, Saturn Metals has a market valuation of $221.5 million.
