Ex-Partners Chloe Madeley and James Haskell Reunite After Car Incident
Former couple Chloe Madeley and James Haskell put aside their differences to deal with a car accident involving Haskell’s vehicle and their young daughter, Bodhi, who was present at the time. The incident occurred in North London on Saturday, March 28th, when Haskell’s £100,000 black Land Rover Range Rover was involved in a collision with a BMW.
Pictures circulating show Madeley arriving at the scene to support her ex-husband, who was speaking with police. The Range Rover sustained significant damage to its front and windscreen, indicating a substantial impact. Madeley was seen helping Haskell clear out Bodhi’s belongings from the damaged vehicle, including a Halloween prop axe. The car was subsequently removed from the roadside.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police confirmed the incident: “At around 11:50hrs on Saturday, 28 March, officers on patrol on Finchley Road came across a collision between a Range Rover and a BMW. The driver of the BMW, believed to be a man in his 30s, had left the scene. Officers spoke to the occupant of the Range Rover, who had not suffered any serious injuries. Enquiries are ongoing to locate the driver of the vehicle.”

Madeley and Haskell, who married in 2018 and welcomed Bodhi in 2022, announced their separation in 2023 after five years of marriage. Despite the split, they have maintained a commitment to co-parenting their three-year-old daughter.
Navigating Post-Separation Life
Since their divorce, both Madeley and Haskell have spoken about the complexities of their separation and co-parenting journey. Haskell previously shared insights on the television show This Morning, highlighting the importance of prioritising their child above all else during their separation.
“When you get separated, obviously, because we live our lives in the public eye in some respect, basically you put yourself out there and sometimes people look to you to see how you behave in those situations, and for me, when you separate, the priority always becomes the child and your egos don’t matter,” Haskell explained. He acknowledged that co-parenting has its ups and downs but stressed their commitment to doing it constructively for Bodhi.
Haskell also noted that social media can present a skewed perception of reality during difficult times, stating, “I think sometimes social media can give you a false image, sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad. You never post about bad stuff. You’ve got to take everything with a pinch of salt.” He expressed gratitude for Madeley’s continued support, saying, “She always had my back. She’s got my back now. She’s always great like that. Our daughter is amazing, and hopefully you can keep that process, it’s not always straight forward. But you’ve got to try!”

Madeley, a personal trainer, has also been candid about the emotional toll of their divorce, describing it as “very volatile.” In an interview with The Sun, she admitted, “It’s two years since we separated and it’s been f*g long enough, our life has very slowly fallen into place as co-parents and as ex-husband and wife.” She elaborated on the fluctuating nature of their interactions: “It’s fine now, but the divorce process has been incredibly emotional and volatile. We have weeks where everything’s fine and we get on really well. And then we have weeks where we don’t agree on something or someone gets frustrated or angry, and then we don’t speak.”
Madeley revealed that she made the decision to leave the marriage to avoid conflict and has established a strict policy to prevent major disagreements. She also confessed that receiving the final divorce papers in December felt like a personal “failure.”
Moving Forward: No Reconciliation in Sight
Despite their shared co-parenting responsibilities and the recent incident that brought them together, Madeley has firmly ruled out any romantic reconciliation with Haskell. She described their marriage as having become “dark,” “sad,” and “painful” and expressed no desire for a renewed relationship. However, she continues to commend Haskell’s role as a father and acknowledged that their relationship has improved since the split, with them now co-parenting effectively and still spending time together as a family.
Meanwhile, Haskell has reportedly been exploring new avenues in his personal life. Following a brief relationship with Big Brother star Sara McLean, it was reported in January that he was considering a stint on the dating reality show Celebs Go Dating. A source suggested that E4 bosses were keen to have him on the show, believing he would be a popular and entertaining contestant. While no formal agreement has been reached, the opportunity is reportedly under consideration.
