Olivia Attwood’s Culinary Reality Show “The Heat” Reportedly Axed After One Season
Olivia Attwood, a prominent figure in British reality television, has reportedly seen her latest venture, “The Heat,” cancelled after just a single season. The culinary competition, which saw the presenter team up with esteemed chef Jean-Christophe Novelli, failed to capture the audience’s attention, with figures suggesting an average viewership of a mere 72,000 per episode.
The show, inspired by the format of the hugely popular “Love Island,” placed ten aspiring cooks in a shared living environment in Barcelona, Spain, where they were tasked with working in a professional restaurant. Despite its ambitious premise and significant production budget, “The Heat” struggled to translate its investment into compelling ratings, a crucial metric for securing a second series.
Sources close to the production have indicated that the show’s considerable expense, including its international filming location and the involvement of two well-known personalities, necessitated strong viewership figures to justify its continuation. Unfortunately, the show did not deliver the “seriously meaty ratings” required.
An ITV spokesperson confirmed that “there are no plans for a second series of The Heat,” though they added that the first season remains available for viewing on ITVX. This marks the first of Attwood’s television projects to not be renewed for a subsequent run.

However, this setback does little to diminish Attwood’s overall standing in the television landscape. The 35-year-old presenter has been steadily building a strong portfolio, fronting successful shows such as “Getting Filthy Rich” and “The Price Of Perfection.” Furthermore, she remains a popular panellist on the long-running chat show “Loose Women” and has previously starred in her own reality series, “Bad Boyfriends.”
Attwood’s Expanding Commercial Empire
Beyond her television commitments, Olivia Attwood is experiencing significant success in the commercial and brand endorsement sphere. She has recently secured a lucrative seven-figure deal with a prominent beauty brand, adding to an already impressive list of collaborations. This latest agreement is reportedly worth a “high seven figures” and includes an exclusive partnership with La Roche Posay, a brand Attwood is said to be a genuine fan of.
This new deal complements her existing campaigns with major names such as Maybelline, Garnier, and River Island. Attwood’s entrepreneurial spirit extends to her own podcast, “Olivia’s House,” and she has also been actively pursuing opportunities in the United States, promoting her shows to an American audience. Her series “Getting Filthy Rich” and “The Price Of Perfection” have already found a home on Disney+, opening doors for further international expansion.
Attwood has previously expressed her aspirations for a career in the US, noting the existing fanbase for “Love Island” in America and the positive reception her shows have received. While she is content with her current career trajectory, she hasn’t ruled out future ventures across the Atlantic.

A representative for Olivia Attwood declined to comment when approached by the Daily Mail regarding the cancellation of “The Heat” and her recent commercial successes. Despite the reported axing of her culinary show, Attwood’s financial future appears secure, bolstered by her extensive brand partnerships and ongoing television work. The competitive nature of the television industry means that not every show can achieve sustained success, but Attwood’s enduring popularity and diverse range of projects suggest she is well-positioned to continue thriving. Her ability to pivot and capitalize on new opportunities, particularly in the lucrative beauty market, highlights her shrewd business acumen and enduring appeal to a broad audience.
