, TUBAN– A fatal traffic accident (lakalantas) has once again occurred on the Tuban Ring Road, precisely in Tunah Village, Semanding District, Tuban Regency, Saturday (12/13/2025).
This incident resulted in the deaths of two Yamaha Vixion motorcyclists at the scene.
Meanwhile, one truck driver suffered a broken bone and had to receive intensive care at Dr. R. Koesma Tuban Regional General Hospital.
Fatalities and Severe Damage
Besides claiming lives, the accident also caused severe damage to a roadside stall and a Suzuki Ertiga car with license plate S 1673 FR was also crushed after being hit.
Based on field observations, the accident involved two trucks traveling from west to east. The two trucks collided from the right and left sides. Between the two trucks, there was a black Yamaha Vixion motorcycle that was destroyed after being crushed by the hard impact.
It is known that the truck on the right side has license plate number S 8420 UC, while the truck on the left side has license plate number S 8497 UJ. Meanwhile, the involved Yamaha Vixion motorcycle has license plate number S 2154 ED.
As a result of the incident, two Yamaha Vixion motorcycle riders were declared dead. Meanwhile, the driver of the truck with license plate S 8420 UC suffered a fractured bone and was immediately rushed to RSUD Dr R Koesma Tuban. As of the time this news was reported, the identities of the three victims are still being processed and recorded by the police.
At the scene, officers also found two fishing rods believed to belong to the two riders of the Yamaha Vixion motorcycles.
Meanwhile, the truck driver with license plate S 8497 UJ, identified as Masnan (34), a resident of Glagahsari Village, Soko District, Tuban Regency.
Based on information from the scene, before the incident, Masnan was suspected of having consumed palm wine (tuak) and was intoxicated while driving. However, this is still under investigation by the police.
Eyewitness and also a passenger of the Suzuki Ertiga car, Sutain (55), a resident of Kowang Village, Semanding District, recounted the chronology of the incident. He said that at the time he was heading to Bojonegoro and driving at a slow speed.
“At first, we were driving slowly. There were three people in the car. Suddenly, from behind, two trucks were speeding recklessly,” said Sutain.
He explained that the two trucks broke into lanes. One truck took the right lane, while the other took the left lane. However, ahead there was a semi-trailer truck that was stopped because it intended to cross over to the Tuban–Widang lane.
“The two trucks suddenly collided with each other. The truck in the right lane hit the back of our car, while the truck on the left hit a stall,” he explained.
Because they were avoiding the semi-trailer truck, both trucks ended up swerving. The truck from the right swerved to the left, while the truck from the left swerved to the right.
Naas, at the scene of the incident, a Yamaha Vixion motorcycle was traveling from west to east. This caused the motorcycle to be directly pinned and resulted in the deaths of both its riders at the scene.
“Alhamdulillah, the three of us are safe, just shocked. The incident was very terrifying,” he concluded.
To date, the police are still conducting further investigations to ascertain the exact cause of the accident, and currently, the police have not yet released an official statement regarding the identities of the victims of this incident.
