Pink’s Role on The Kelly Clarkson Show Clarified
An insider has firmly dismissed the rumors that Pink would be taking over as host of The Kelly Clarkson Show. This comes after a wave of speculation, particularly following Pink’s recent guest hosting stint when Clarkson was away.
Clarkson recently announced that her NBC talk show will conclude later this year, citing the need to focus more on her children, River and Remy. This decision followed the passing of their father, Brandon Blackstock, who died of cancer in August at the age of 48.
Rumors had been circulating that Pink, who hosted the show for a week while Clarkson was away, might take over. However, a source confirmed to the Daily Mail that these rumors are now dead. The reason? NBC Universal has shut down its syndicated department, and Kelly’s show was part of that unit.
The closure of NBC Universal’s first-run syndication division earlier this week affected several shows, including Access Hollywood. Despite this, the source also confirmed that Pink is set for a potential residency at the Sphere Las Vegas.

‘There will be no replacement for Kelly, especially not Pink,’ the insider stated. ‘The show is done at the end of this season. No replacements.’
According to the source, the Sphere’s management has been interested in Pink for several years. They believe her aerial stunts and extensive music catalog make her the perfect act for a long-term residency. The venue is reportedly ready to pay, with the brass believing that Pink’s concerts could generate millions every night.
The insider added that she could earn the same amount of money in one weekend of shows as she would in an entire year of hosting a talk show.
It was reported this Thursday that Pink is bound for the Sphere next year, as mentioned in an episode of the local Las Vegas entertainment program Neon.

Now, the Daily Mail’s source has said the venue, which opened in 2023 with a 40-show run by U2, will pull out all stops to make this residency happen.
The Sphere Las Vegas is particularly keen on Pink due to the failure of a long-rumored Harry Styles residency. It was claimed last March that Styles was in the final stages of talks to play 35 concerts at the Sphere as soon as late 2025.
‘After plans for a Harry Styles residency did not come about after years of trying, all feel that Pink could be the perfect act to keep the venue on their hot streak,’ an insider explained to the Daily Mail.
Pink, who recently denied claims she has split from her racing driver husband Carey Hart, addressed the rumors about replacing Clarkson.
‘Just in a continuation of debunking all of the sources that we’ve got going on in the world. I’m not taking over the Kelly Clarkson Show,’ she said in a video.
‘I’m doing a fun thing for my buddy Kelly, because it’s a fun thing. If I wanted a talk show, I would not have to audition. I would just have one, and it would be amazing, not something I’m currently researching or looking for in my busy, busy, busy world.’
